Jutti's- Traditional Indian inspired Slip on shoes.

FdA Cordwainers Footwear Design

As an aspiring Footwear designer, i love playing with ideas from a different perspective and looking at creativity from various angles. For my current project i have looked at India as my theme, through which i want to explore the ideas of technique and construction of the traditional india with the modernism of fashion today worldwide. I have experimented and developed with one part of my research, which i want to work with more in the future, with better sources and expertise. For the United nude project - Through my work i try to show a different perceptive of things. The designs are very different and very commercial at the same time.

BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

My main interest is to highlight that different shapes can be achieved through garments. I am a very colorful person and I always bring it through within my work making it fun and bold. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I try to get everything exactly how I want it, especially with the 3D garments.

Final Collection

BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring

I am a Bespoke tailoring graduate with a love for the time honored craft of tailoring. My personal methodology has a respect for the past with the intention of updating traditional garments for today's contemporary customer. I believe in a personal approach with the aim of crafting high quality garments that go beyond the realms of fashion and will last the client a lifetime. My clothes are intended to be stylish, functional and considered. Future Noir is a collection of future classics, referencing the sophisticated and stylish bygone era of film noir and the more current film genre of tech noir. The cut is clean, minimal and classic designed to forgo the need for current trends and take the wearer into the realms of slow fashion. In this respect the garments reflect the traditions of bespoke tailoring and are designed to last a lifetime; getting better over time... like the wearer. The collection incorporates both men's and women's garments for an urban context: professional individuals, fashionable and in their prime. BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

"Untitled" is a textile collection using hand embroidery and bleaching techniques. This project inquires into design for disability together with exploration of hand craft and 3-D textiles. Visual impairment was researched in particular, through investigation of colour-texture relationship. In the pitch black room, colour becomes irrelevant and our other senses are heightened, with touch being the most relied upon. The aim was to create a piece of textile representing each colour based on an interview with a congenitally blind person and a story book for blind children. BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology (Womenswear)

Hannah Rooke is a Womenswear designer aiming to create innovative, elegant garments with an eclectic, youthful style. Focus on drapery and pleating of fabrics to create layering and depth upon the body contrasting against elements of tailoring. The designer’s aesthetic is romantic yet strong with an emphasis on colour and texture. Influenced by and designed for strong, confident, elegant women. As a response to the misrepresentation of identity and loss of individuality within contemporary culture, Hannah Rooke will focus on creating a sustainable, authentic style. The aim is to create treasured pieces of clothing depicting craft, care and originality to be negotiated by the individual in their own way. The Spring/Summer 2013 Ready to Wear collection 'Presence' explores the idea of emphasizing strength of identity in conjunction with femininity. Powerful personalities and strong female figures such as Frida Kahlo, the muses of Gustav Klimt, young women in the 1960’s and the idea of the ‘femme fatale’ in the 1940’s Film Noir genre inspired the development of shape and surface. Colours and textures of Mexican dress, mosaics and Klimt’s paintings have been interpreted through layering frayed silks and chiffons with trims and lace creating linear details to highlight garment structures complimented by metallic surfaces and bold colours. The silhouette combines structured garments inspired by 1940’s and 1960’s tailoring with draped pieces. Education London College of Fashion. Bright and colourful I am a commercial designer whose aim is to create accessories that stand out. I always strive to retain some of my unique style in my work. This means that while I maintain a high standard of practicality when it comes to my designs, I also try to capture a sense of fun, individuality and sometimes eccentricity in all my projects. I have a strong fashion/art education and have a love for textiles and print which I believe is at the heart of my philosophy as a designer.

Bespoke suit - Robin Allison

BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring

London, an urban voyage through history. The outfits are aimed to subtly interlace elements of the past with the present, whilst remaining strongly anchored in the simplicity, beauty and quality of bespoke tailoring standards. They encompass tradition and heritage as well as reflecting upon a contemporary desire for sustainability and individuality as they are essentially designed to be owned by the wearer. A great input has been placed upon the perfect cut to fit each client’s taste and comfort, and using the requisite materials which will enhance the clients’ sartorial elegance and empower their personality. Man to Mask- Music Image

BA (Hons) Fashion: Styling & Photography (Top Up)

Olivia Sarah Ann Weltz Telephone: 07446 559 350 Email: liviweltz@hotmail.co.uk I am a very inquisitive, experimental and driven person. I have specialised in Fashion Styling for the duration of my studies but I have always strived to push and manipulate the boundaries between Fashion, Art and Performance. My work takes strong inspiration from Art History, Folklore, Literature, Film, Theatre and Music and I always try to employ these sources into my Fashion Imagery. I have a keen interest in Costume and Prop Design and adhere to create my own pieces to style with along with Designer Collections. I also frequently collaborate with theatrical make-up and prosthetic artists to recreate the other-worldly characters I am so fascinated by. Working mainly with character styling, my work will always follow a strong sense of narrative and storytelling. This has led me to experiment in Fashion Film and Art Direction. I am currently styling, directing and producing a series of short conceptual fashion films using a combination of physical theatre and puppetry. I believe that layering and combining media gives opportunity for a richer and more artistic approach to conventional fashion. I am very eager and willing to work with other like minded creative’s, whether that involves styling for fashion editorial or film, costume and prop making or Directing. I hope that my dedication and enthusiasm to learn a variety of skills, in various media and in a range of fields, will encourage collaboration. Please feel free to contact me with your project ideas.

Places In Between

BA (Hons) Costume for Performance

I am a highly creative costume designer and maker with experience of working to contemporary performance alongside period specific briefs. Passionate about dance and movement as well as the impact culture has on costume design. My previous experience includes design assisting and sourcing for dance company dAnte or die, making for Phillip Treacy, performing alterations and making on various shows, such as Buxton Theatre Festival, Almeida Theatre as well as working on small budget projects and films. I enjoy using my skills and creativity to explore and push the boundaries of costume. I believe my interest in art, socio politics, textures, architectural patterns and movement shapes the way I see and explore costume. This was something I got to explore further through my Final Major Project; Places In Between. This was a collaborative project with two dancers and choreographers; Rosalie Whalfrid and Helka Kaski. Through challenging a traditional way of a design process, we worked closely together throughout the course of a year, doing design tests, and several rehearsals. We created a meeting between dance a costume, where the costume is incorporated into the performance. Being inspired by the theme of power, I used visual inspiration from Modernism and the utopian idea of Brutalist architecture, and the effect it has had on present day living in London. We used key words such as decay, fall of brutalism, growth/collapse, restriction of movement and following/directing movement as an initial starting point for our project. Titchlikes Business Cards

BA (Hons) Fashion Journalism (Print) (Broadcast)

I'm a Beagle-lover, a Mojito-drinker, a creative soul with an eye for good design. I write to make others laugh, to share my biggest love; music. I love Peep Show and sarcasm, favour iPhones over Blackberrys and make a mean cooked breakfast. I will be the last to leave a party and first to put the music on. I love heavy fringes and powerful eyebrows. Books are an essential, along with fresh flowers, good manners and a cheeky compliment. My Welsh family and friends are my world, and along with my work I am pretty happy. Follow me on Instagram to find out more @shortay8701 or email me at miss.jones.07@hotmail.co.uk for any queries. Titchlikes I created a website that reflects my feelings of what is currently missing today in the world of music journalism. It was sparked from a love of all things musical combined with wanting to showcase new writing to the public. Accessible to everyone, an online platform was crucial as well as links with social media. You can follow the website on Wordpress at www.titchlikes.com If you are one of the 500 million Facebook users, click 'Like' on our Page http://www.facebook.com/titchlikes Or if you want a neat little Twitter feed, follow us @titchlikes This is our 'About Us' section on the website; Here at titch likes, we have set out to fill the proverbial gap in the music journalism market with an online site that aims to forget the snarky hipster-elite and inject some intelligence, vitality and humour back into writing. You can browse through our Reviews to discover some new bands or delve into our Feature pieces and Style section for alternative content on all things musical. If you really want to be in on the tip top zeitgeist then our daily updated news section will quench your knowledge thirst, along with a refreshing sip from our extensive Playlist page that offers everything from songs to keep you going at the gym, to afternoon delights to bake a cake to. Our theory is that music is universal, loved by one and all, from your granny to that miserable bus driver who pulls a face when you don’t have change. So why isn’t it catered for? Why aren’t we satisfied? Do we really have to read yet another piece on how Colplay are the musical equivalent of AIDS or how a band is way too underground for you to have appreciated their latest post-dubstep release? Nah, music is not about any of that rubbish, it’s made to share, to chat about, to transport you back to a forgotten memory or mould a new one. It transcends borders and languages bringing people together to share an experience, be it a festival or a tequila-induced karaoke session. The physicality of music may have shrunk through the decades but its impact never fades. We aim to cover every genre from hip-hop to prog-rock to acid jazz with an open mind and a sharp pencil, showcasing the best in new writers as well as the seasoned hacks. Submissions are welcomed and comments encouraged to help us expand and improve our humble little site into a buzzing hive of words and music loud enough for everyone to hear.
