BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear
Currently studying Womenswear'WELCOME TO THE CHAVISTOCRACY - The Hottest Thing Left Of The British Empire.' This collection explores the ideas behind antisocial behaviour, focusing on what we know as âChavâ culture and football hooliganism in the 80âs and 90âs. My garments blend together loose sportswear silhouettes with luxury finishes. Details like the âDAPPAâ logo and coat of arms visually incorporate my tongue in cheek approach to the concept. Looking at the manipulation and fusing of sports fabrics; through this collection I want to adapt peopleâs opinions of the casual stereotype in which these textiles poses. All of the themes used have been inspired from my interest in the demonization of the working class.
