Born and raised in Bombay, with a stellar international educational background and culturally opulent exposure, Vir Shete has managed to build a vast body of work within various inter-related creative capacities – design, styling, make-up, hair, blogging and modeling. With a strong work ethic, distinct identity, directional point of view and determined drive to push the boundaries of fashion, design, beauty and culture, Vir relocated to London in 2010 to pursue Fashion Design Technology (Womenswear) at the London College of Fashion. Vir’s aesthetic is fashion forward yet minimalistic, edgy yet sophisticated, with a strong emphasis on market, customer and cultural awareness. Often inspired by architecture, (sub) cultural trends, art deco, graphic & structural elements and nature, Vir’s work focuses on constantly experimenting with and re-inventing shape/silhouette/form/proportion but within a futuristic yet wearable context. Driven by an intense passion for fashion and design, Vir yearns to constantly learn and inform himself, innovate, make a difference and excel.
