FdA Fashion Design Technology (Designer Pattern Cutter)
âWork like a slave, command like a king, create like a Godâ. These words, which I heard during my very first fashion lecture, perfectly describe my attitude to the fashion world. Fashion design is my life passion, which I have always been committed to and prepared to work hard on developing. Already during my first degree at London College of Fashion, I tried to be a part of the fashion industry by undertaking a number of internships: at Richard Nicoll, James Long, Maciej Zien and Guess by Marciano. That work experience not only enriched me with practical skills of sawing, designing and pattern cutting, but also gave me an opportunity to understand the process of production. My true dream, that I am aiming to achieve, is to be noticeably unique and stand out from the crowd. Because I never give up and work hard, I think that it is possible to overcome any upcoming obstacles on a pathway of a young fashion designer such as myself. Moreover, I am additionally motivated to learn about the fashion, since this type of visual art inspires me in everyday life and can provide with a special emotional insight. As Levinson notes, âart gives viewers experiential knowledge [...] and it does this by broadening experience to encompass things they might never otherwise have undergone or felt.â WORK EXPERIENCE Present Fashion intern at Richard Nicoll Present Stylish at 69 Polish Tv (Poland) August â September Fashion intern at Maciej ZieÅ atelier (Polish designer) August Fashion intern at James Long 03rd June 2012 VolunteerAsian Fashion Show (London) June â December 2011 Main designer for Bodu Bacio â fashion brand in Poland August 2011 Assistant to the Senior designer at Guess by Maricano
