John Alexander Skelton ABSTRACT â The Social problems that undoubtedly affect many working-class communities have come to define the âChavâ caricature. Teenagers pushing strollers, yobs, and feckless adults: This is what Chavs are for many people.â (Jones, 2011 pg194) (British lion) is a project based upon ulterior fashion motives, secrecy and identity. Delving in to the depths of a working class style that is prevalent and thriving in many areas of Britain. Seen in extreme cases, as a uniform of which there is little alternatives. I wish to use this uniform as a basis for development and interpretation, transferring it into a fashion context. I wish to embody the scally/chav style in a more refined and revered for my AW/12 collection. jskelton44@gmail.com
