BA (Hons) Costume for Performance

A third year student set to graduate in 2014 studying Costume for Performance. Rosie has experience in both film and theatre. Her skills in range from stretch-wear, period tailoring as well as contemporary costume and has used her university projects to explore traditional costume from around the globe. Salome -Final major project. Salome first began as a traditional period piece but evolved into an exploration of The East Indian Trading Company and Asian influences on fashion and culture. Combining eastern and western cultures within a period piece and constructing the garments from both antique and recycled indian fabrics, real fur and bones, allowed the ability to create garments suited to the chosen characters are portrayed as well as exploiting the plays themes of seduction, lust and murder.
