BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery
Jewellery designer Qian Yang graduated from London College of Fashion (2014) with degree in BA (Hons) in Fashion Jewellery. I am obsessed with vintage fashion and antique objects, expecting to give traditional item or technique a brand new life. The concept of my Final collection was about 'Repair'. And I used second hand porcelains either already broken or I cut the figures, then repair them back into jewellery. This idea mainly inspirited from Japanese gold repair 'Kintsugi', for repair broken ceramics. For this jewellery collection, each chosen porcelain repaired with 24ct gold plated metal. It's a collection full of fun and I added a new meaning and extra preciousness to my each ceramics pieces.
