âEternity Waitâ explores the phenomenon which people spend the time waiting for something and their perception of time, where the aim is the action of waiting, not the object people are waiting for. The starting point of my final major project is the famous absurd play created by Samuel Beckett -- Waiting for Godot. The main concept of the project is about â Waiting â, which I first got inspired from my personal experience and affections in a certain of waiting activities during my holiday. In this design report I will elaborate the interpretation of Waiting for Godot and how I linked the idea of time perception to the action of waiting. Furthermore, the approaches and methods of transferring the idea of waiting into my final project and textile designs.
