The idea of âdress that connectsâ is explored through the creation of fashioned-objects that grow with the wearer over time. Drawing inspiration from Western charm jewelry and its variants found as a part of the traditional dress of many cultures worldwide, these pieces are built gradually over time through a series of interactive exchanges on a foundation provided by the designer. The wearer and the designer will co-create as the designer depends on the wearer for new forms to be realized. Through âassemblageâ meaning the action of gathering and randomly fitting things together, the wearer is able build re-arrange and style themselves in a way that reflects their true identity just, âlike a piece of charm jewelry.â In a world full of broken bonds, the creation of dress that encourages connection and relationship, is an area worthy of further study since it can add value and potentially resolve waste issues created by throwaway fashion.
