Open for projects and collaborations specialising in leather handbags. My work is based on origami and the colours and textures seen in butterflies. The materials of the collection consists of leather and laser cut Perspex held in place by silver screws. Industrialism and nature is translated through the use of materials; two opposing ideas. The perspex represents fragility and the screws gives an industrious feel to it. The mood of the collection takes inspiration from minimalism seen in the clean lines and three dimensional forms. ON THE RUN, Spring and SUMMER 2014

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear

K, [HyungTae Kim]. SS 14 - ON THE RUN at BRIGHTON FASHION WEEK. 8 LOOKS Coming more soon. . E-MAIL klothing@hotmail.com "A/W 2013 Generation." A/w 2013 "The idea of K A/w 13 collection is to explore the sensitive relationship between youth-cultures and parental culture." My concept is to look at the contrasts between the themes of 'Father/Tradition, Youth/rebellious and Uniform/War. What inspired me were the memory and feelings I had when I was an adolescent boy. The memory of trying my Father's clothes is unforgettable. What remains deep inside of me is the feeling of warmth and comfort. To more accurately describe, it was like wearing a very warm blanket in a very cold and lonely winter. This feelings got stronger when I was trying his military jacket. I wanted to deliver that feeling of warmness of oversized khaki fabrics whilst having the adolescent boy's rebelliousness attitude that I had as I grow up, as his jacket getting smaller."Hyung tae Kim’s was also great – it was a very good season.” Backpacks featured strongly in a great deal of collections, particularly in Kim’s who presented low-slung oversized backpacks combined with large, long coats that looked reminiscent of ‘typical’ father’s clothing but with a younger fresher vibe" - Hilary Alexander Academic London College of Fashion 2009 -2012 BA(Hons) FDT Menswear FT Northumbria University 2006-2009 BA(Hons)FDT Fashion Design Foundation Degree Work Experience Reworked [london] 2009 - 2011 [VINTAGE, ARMY CLOTHE REWORKED SHOP] ASSIATANT Diorasa 2007-2008 [Tailor shop] TAILOR ASSISTANT Press: http://www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/fashion/catwalk/AW2012/ReadyToWear/london/london_college_of_fashion_-_ba/full-length-photos -http://www.gomoneyways.com/?p=65953 -http://jaci-mag.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/untitled-ss-2013-mens-collection-acne.html -http://www.fashion.arts.ac.uk/2012/live/ -http://disordermagazine.com/lcfs-upcoming-talent/style/ -http://www.flickr.com/photos/53179772@N06/7490122378/ -http://fashionstyleology.com/hyung-tae-kim-k-aw-2013-lcf-ba-show/ -http://blogs.fashion.arts.ac.uk/snapshot/2012/06/29/last-night-in-shoreditch/ -http://nowfashion.com/28-06-2012-london-college-of-fashion-2012-part-1-live-event-event-2256.html -http://www.tatler.com/bystander/events/2012/june/london-college-of-fashion-graduate-show#/7516/image/25 - http://www.catwalking.com/ -http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/autumn-winter-2012/ready-to-wear/london-college-of-fashion-ba/page/7# -http://www.fashion156.com/collections/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-show-2012/ Contact. BA (Hons) Technical Effects for Performance

Highly driven and excited by anything physical and practical based in technical effects. I have developed a keen interest in and an aptitude for sculpting, and have also gained good experience in and further interests for fabrication, mould making, life casting and finishing in my time on this course. My work is inspired by anything macabre and also the human, animal or creature forms. Wearable pieces, special effects, props, puppetry and art based sculpture are all areas I enjoy working in. I have also gained valuable work experience in both theatrical and film settings.

BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

| ABOUT | Lingerie specialist with a focus on design and branding. Graduating with strong market and branding knowledge, a creative design style and technical product understanding, I am able to bring these elements together to create directional concepts. I aim to offer the consumer underwear that she can engage with as she does her outerwear and has a fashionable approach, challenging traditional lingerie styles. My aesthetic is subtle yet innovative – a focus on impactful silhouettes with intricate detailing, using a combination of sheer and opaque fabrics to create a balance between the body and garment. Varied experience and education within the product specialism allows me to transcend seamlessly between a commercial outlook, luxury positioning and couture style to bring a unique creativity to lingerie. | GRADUATE COLLECTION | The collection is inspired by Tereza’s character in the novel ‘The Unbearable Lightness of Being’ by Milan Kundera. The range tells the story of her moments of ‘lightness’ and ‘weight’ through use of fabric, silhouette and colour. Resin castings grow out from seam lines that alter the body’s silhouette, exploring the answer to Tereza’s question, “if various parts of her body began to grow and shrink and [she] no longer looked like herself, would she still be Tereza?”. | LCF BA SHOW 2013 COLLABORATION | Winner of the Innovation Award for the collaborative collection with Rebecca Morter and Helena Dillon. Design concepts from the graduate collection were reinterpreted using laser cut Perspex and a dense gridded quilting. Finished in all black with visible zips the pieces have a striking and powerful look. | IMAGES | 1,3 (LCF BA Show 2013) Womenswear and Millinery by Rebecca Morter

Beau Coops Ad Campaign

BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring

I grew up in a family divided between painters and academics where I learnt that there is always space for self expression. It is only a matter of understanding the most effective way to do it. That is the main reason I consider tailoring fundamental in my desing process, because it supplies a very clear means through which one can produce ideas. And it is a very fine one too. The combination between fashion design and tailoring is the key to my work's aesthetic: a point of view where there is a controlled evolution of modern silhouettes, with an equilibrate balance between shape experimentation and traditional crafting methods. A very rich and detailed design development lays at the base of my final outcomes. The creative process is for me a combination between the elaboration of a concept, a story to tell and a more instinctive experimentation through drawing, collage and photography. It is a constant tension among the visual and the intellectual that leads me through a continuous development of ideas. My strong background in history and literature, together with my passion for visual arts and music, are the engine behind my work, the source of my inspiration.

901 London | James Rees Photography

BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

901london.com Lingerie designer 901 London ‘Bande’ Range Press Release The Bande range (Bande meaning ‘Stripe’ in French) is the first collection of couture lingerie from the 901 London brand. The numbers 9, 0 and 1 are taken from the birth year of my great grandmother whom was a lingerie designer, born 1901, in Lebanon. This brand is an extension of her legacy. The Bande range was inspired by the architecture of Zaha Hidid, Walter Burley Giffin, John M Johnson and the monochromatic, architectural photography of Jared Lim. I have always been inspired by architecture and am fascinated by the Nolli plans and figure grounds. This is what inspired the graphic leaver’s lace in my collection. The corsetry and weaving became my method of representing the lines that I see in architecture. I challenged myself to look for innovative construction methods to ensure that the garments remained for the luxury market and managed to source high quality microfiber & silk. I like to think that I design simple shapes that are then transformed into something beautiful with the irregular double weaves; however, I’m particularly pleased with the use of graphic colour contrasts and lace panel detailing. I believe this collection to be an honest representation of myself as it is feminine, but in a modern and graphic way. Without the need to commercialise too much, it remains elegant and edgy at the same time. www.jessicahearnshaw.com Jessica Hearnshaw is an Accessories Designer based in London who's focus is around the design and craftsmanship of high quality conceptual leather goods. This collection’s focus is on accessories that have a integral relationship to what they contain. That are as fascinating to unwrap, as a gift is to open. Inspired specifically by traditional japanese packaging which has a strong minimalist aesthetic. A key notion of japanese packaging is that the gift and the act of unwrapping the gift, is just as important as what is inside. This art form would wrap a given object in whatever materials lay at hand. The outcome was often not only practical for storage and transporting the object but also produced a simple beautiful shape free of all excess and extravagance ----------------------------------------------- Credits: Images 1 - 5: Art Director: Benjamin Thapa, Photographer: Giulia Zucchetti, Model: Max @ Profile, Stylist: Irene Manicone, Makeup: Nichola Mai Images 6 - 9: Art Direction & Photographer: Benjamin Thapa Image 10 - 11: Photography: Anthony John Sayer Creative Director: Rob Phillips Beauty: Pace Chen Model: Rosemary Banks
