GRADUATE COLLECTION 2013 - POSTMODERN EXCESSES OF CONSUMPTION MY graduate collection provides a humorous interpretation of various postmodern theories of consumption. Starting with theories dating from 1950, the concept has been developed into a study of 2 particular forms of excess. OVER-EATING OVER-EXCERCISING THESE ideas, along with an underlying theme of late 80’s/early 90s media, have been fused together to create a hybrid of pieces that reflect the desire to constantly over-consume.

BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design And Development

ABOUT The concept of this work came from light and reflections- the changes that occur when viewing the world from different angles and exploring the hidden beauty in details. I love to get out and see and do everything- walking the streets of London, getting out to the countryside, visiting museums, exhibitions, shows and the theatre. Observing everything and taking it all back to a very minimal representation; capturing the subtlety in contrasting materials, and with a keen eye for detail. Ultimately I aim to create shoes that are very wearable, but have that special touch. BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

Fashion Designer Lingerie Designer Accomplished at creative design and pattern cutting skills who believes in lingerie is all about self-expression which can combine both functional and sexuality and makes the best of woman’s looks, whilst controlling the body. My work is all about communicative power of contour with strong philosophy, to consider the flow around the body to demonstrate 'innovation' with sculptural paneling and simplified lines. My work is also inspired by oriental mood (both traditional culture and strong color palette) which combined extreme femininity and glamour with power to accentuate the beauty of the female body. The inspiration of my collection comes from an ancient style of Chinese calligraphy called Seal Characters so that my designs always go with abstracted lines mix with the geometric, modern structure silhouette and minimal clean-cut look to express the unique beauty of both Oriental and Western women, to make them liberated, sophisticated and powerful. BA (Hons) Fashion Illustration

Louise O'Keeffe is a London based Fashion Illustrator from the Highlands of Scotland. She comes from a fine art, textiles and design background with a love for traditional hand rendered artwork. I am very interested in character and identity and try to portray a sense of personality through my work. My illustrations could be described as a beautiful mess with a moody feeling to it, as I like to mix accuracy and detail with the fluidity of watercolour and ink. I have experience illustrating for the Future Vintage Magazine and Vauxhall Fashion Scout where I sketched live at the London Fashion Week shows. I have also been collaborating with The House of Scarlet jewellery designer to develop illustrated surface patterns which will be transferred onto dresses. A collection of my work will also be exhibited in the Shoreditch Fashion Show in end of April 2013. “I am a passionate and enthusiastic illustrator whose love is for drawing. For as long as I can remember, art has always been my way of communicating my deepest feelings and emotions. Drawing for me is a therapeutic process, I am just lucky enough to pursue it as a career” I am always open to collaborations and new projects. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested. BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear

The title of this project is "Escaping reality by using creative imagination". Research began with the film Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and from there it went on to other films such as Alice in Wonderland, Science of Sleep, Wizard of Oz and more and also into thinking about the childish way of life. How everything is much more relaxed for children and how they don´t put as much boundaries on themselves, their way of thinking and on their imagination as adults do, the importance of letting the inner child out is vital and also the ability to let the imagination free and take you places. Edwardian S Bend Corset with Art Deco Print

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Realisation (Part time)

I am an explorer of life, I love researching and writing. I will explore anything, well almost anything. Fashion, film, music, art, dreams. I am interested in the connections between different mediums, what we see in Fashion History, beneath the surface, how people see themselves, how we subvert forms and why. My work as a seamstress and knitwear designer converge with my writing and composition of imagery for illustrative purposes. Presently, I am expanding a written piece about the Edwardian Period and produce a monthly newsletter and blog for a fashion house.

LCF catwalk

BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Development

Young london designer spreading positive social statements through her creative body of work. Her graduate range is called 'Fashion Vs Abuse'& has been inspired by the alarming rates of abuse within society today. The clothing has been designed with protective elements including buckles, animalistic feathers, custom crystallised rebellious spikes and the colour palette stripped down to a tonal nude spectrum. The headgear implies that women have no say when being abused & the harness restricts your body movement. The 'armoured crab' jacket is designed to enhance your confidence & the 'fleshed body' plays on female vulnerability. Alongside the clothing she developed a fashion technology product which is a combined rape/SOS alarm fashion accessory that works by sending a Bluetooth signal to your smartphone to send out a danger alert to a family member using its GPS technology to locate you. It also gives abuse victims confidence to walk the streets again as well as women walking home at night. Circus theme collaboration project

BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Development

Born in Hong Kong before moving to the UK at the age of 13, Tania will be graduating with a BA in fashion at LCF in 2013. She has a focus on womenswear, as well as styling, which she often combines for collaboration projects from time to time. Her graduate collection displays women’s silhouette in a geometric form, altering the usual impression of femininity. It first started by dissecting dimensions of a diamond and uncovering all of its hidden lines. The ethos behind this collection is to express the female figure in a very tactile way through ‘re-shaping’. Using metallic to emphasise the contrast with exaggerated shoulder patterns against the dark; melded a strong character into the models without losing a sense of sexiness. As if it’s made for women who have an obvious statement of herself.
